FIR and WeeFin have joined forces to provide the community of responsible investors with a Mapping of public ESG data sources. You will also find the solutions, in the form of fact sheets, presented during FIR’s ESG Pitch events.
Mapping of Public ESG Data Sources
Data is central to investors in building and implementing their investment strategies. As these strategies become increasingly elaborate and sophisticated, investors need increasingly granular information on all the criteria taken into consideration. There are many data providers on the market and, in addition to the organizations whose business it is, other entities also produce data and make it available: NGOs, associations, researchers…
It is these databases produced by this type of organization and public, but which can sometimes be misunderstood, that the FIR and WeeFin wish to highlight with this Mapping. It takes the form of a PDF file containing a wealth of information in several categories: theme, scope, coverage, methodology, update frequency, sources, number of indicators, etc.
Several batches will be published progressively.
January 2025 publication: gender equality, human rights, natural ecosystems, deforestation, oil and gas, transition plans, chemical footprint, etc.
